Temple Beth Ohr

A Welcoming Reform Jewish Community

Lifecycle

Life’s most meaningful moments, joyful and difficult, are not meant to be faced alone. At Temple Beth Ohr, we walk with you through every stage of life, grounded in Jewish tradition and the strength of community.

Rabbi Len Muroff brings deep experience in pastoral care, including years as a hospital chaplain supporting individuals and families through illness, loss, and end of life. His approach is centered on presence, compassion, and helping people find meaning in moments that matter most. He also believes deeply in the power of community, and that showing up for one another is at the heart of Jewish life.

Weddings

A wedding is both a personal and sacred moment, two lives joined within the tapestry of Jewish tradition.

Rabbi Muroff works closely with couples to create a ceremony that is meaningful, personal, and rooted in Jewish values. Whether you are deeply familiar with tradition or just beginning to explore it, the process is designed to reflect who you are and the life you hope to build together.

Baby Namings / Brit Milah

Welcoming a child into the world is a moment of profound joy and connection.

Families are guided in marking this beginning with rituals that honor tradition while embracing each family’s unique story. Whether through a Brit Milah or a baby naming ceremony, the experience is warm, meaningful, and grounded in community.

Bar/Bat Mitzvah

Becoming a Bar or Bat Mitzvah is a powerful step in a young person’s Jewish journey.

The focus is not only on leading a service, but on understanding what it means to take ownership of one’s place in the Jewish community. Each student and family is supported in making this milestone both meaningful and memorable.

Funerals & Mourning Support

In moments of loss, community matters most.

Rabbi Muroff brings extensive experience in end of life and bereavement care, offering guidance grounded in Jewish tradition. Families are supported through funeral preparation and the mourning process with care, dignity, and compassion.

No one is expected to go through loss alone.

Pastoral Care

Life brings challenges, illness, uncertainty, and transitions that call for support and connection.

Rabbi Muroff meets with individuals and families during difficult times, offering a listening ear and spiritual guidance shaped by years of chaplaincy work. His approach emphasizes presence, care, and helping people navigate complex moments with clarity and meaning.

At the heart of this work is a simple belief. Community matters, and being there for one another is essential.
